My Craft Room Video Tour

Just over a year ago we moved into a new house.  Just off our master bedroom we have a fabulous bonus room and we knew that would be perfect for my craft room.  In an effort to get back to some normalcy, I quickly set it up and got to work on projects!  BUT for the entire time, I have never been quite satisfied with the set-up.  Last month when I had a little break in projects, I decided it was time to rearrange.  So without further adieu, I'm excited to show you around my room!  I've got several tips in there on organizing and frugal storage.  Hope you enjoy it!

Adding Hand Stitching to Scrapbook Layouts and Paper Crafts

One of my favorite go to techniques is to simply add hand stitching onto my paper craft projects. Each time I share a different project with hand stitching I get comments with questions. Because of that I recently created a video series to help get you started on hand stitching and string art.

Here's the first video in the series:

As I mention in the video there are a couple of tools that make this job easier, click on any of the affiliate thumbnails below to check those out:

Now what about adding string art with your stitching?  That's a technique you also see me add regularly and guess what? I have a video for that too!

What do you think? Doable right!?!  I want to see if you start creating with this technique so be sure to share it with me on Facebook or Instagram!

The last video I want to share today is just a share video of SOME of my favorite stitched/string art layouts.  There's one in here that took 8 HOURS!  Check it out!

Hope you are itching to pull out a needle and thread and tackle some ideas in your next paper craft project!

String Art - Family Scrapbook Layout (Stuck?! Sketches)

It's a fresh new week and time for a new sketch from Stuck?! Sketches! I love the simplicity of the one this month and the vertical design!  Vertical designs always catch my eyes, so I was excited to dig in. Here is is:

And here's what I came up with when I played with the sketch.  I decided to make a family scrapbook layout with a fun family selfie from a recent trip to the zoo. I used the new Faith Collection from Simple Stories to create it.

I also have a process video to go along with this one, in fact, I have two. The first takes you thru how I made the string art butterflies.

Here's the second video on how I created the rest of the layout:

This is a beautiful Faith collection from Simple Stories. Here's my supply list with Affiliate Thumbnails - thanks for your support!

Product Review - We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board

How long do you wait before you make a bigger purchase? I tend to hold off for quite awhile until I'm certain that I really want the product.  After struggling with creating frames forever, and doing it again recently, I decided the We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board was a logical purchase for me!  I have generally had good experiences with products from We R Memory Keepers so I expected a good quality product. Here's my video review and initial thoughts on it:

This isn't a brand new product on the market but it also isn't terribly old.  I'm excited to finally have it and I know you'll be seeing me using it for a wide variety of projects! I definitely see it being useful in making Scrapbook Layouts, Cards, and doing some Bible Journaling as well!

If you want to check it out for yourself you can find it by clicking on the thumbnail below for an Affiliate Link to Scrapbook.com - Thanks for your Support.

Adding Watercolor to Your Planner Pages

Sometimes messing around with a technique is so much fun....but where do you do that at?  I like to do that in my planner rather than on a scrapbook layout.  Feels a little less permanent in case I'm unhappy with the results!  Today I have a planner page up at SRM Stickers where I experimented with adding watercolor to my page.

Not only did I have fun playing on this one -but I was really happy with the end result!
Here's some close-ups!
Love the combination of stickers, stamping, and watercolor!

That is a clear sticker over the watercoloring - isn't that amazing!?! You can't even tell it's a sticker!!!

Here's my Process Video for this Page:

Putting together a Baby Boy Pocket Page Scrapbook Layout

Even with all the scrapbooking I do, I still have baby pictures left to scrapbook!  My youngest son especially still has a big pile, because life with a fourth child was a huge adjustment!  This week the designers at Paper House Productions are teaming up with My Sentiments Exactly to create stamped projects.  I had the "Sweet Thing" Stamp Set and decided to incorporate that into a pocket page layout!

I created a process video for this one, to show you how I created all the different pockets!  Here it is:

I had forgotten how much I enjoy doing pocket pages...look for more of these to be happening in the near future!

Cousins Scrapbook Layout - Stuck?! Sketches July 1

Hi there!  Today I have a bright and cheery cousins layout using some old kit supplies!  It's based on the newest sketch from Stuck?! Sketches!

And here's what I did with the sketch!  No process video for this one, I was in a time crunch and needed to get it done so I could sneak away on an Anniversary Trip with my hubby!
I love how well the colors came together to coordinate on this one, despite being from several different companies!  I think I've got Pink Paislee, Fancy Pants, and Doodlebug all in there!  Be sure to swing by Stuck?! Sketches and play along!

Disney Scrapbook Layouts Video Share

Hi there crafty friends!  A friend of mine recently challenged me to upload a video each day to YouTube for the month of July.  Seems daunting, but also like a good challenge and opportunity to think outside of the box!  Some of them will be worthy of a blog post on their own, others will be more simple!  Here's what I've shared the first day of July and am just now getting around to blogging! Of course it doesn't help that I accidentally erased the first video...aaaaahhhh mom brain on a holiday week ;)

I'd love to hear which layout was your favorite in the series!  Share with me here or on facebook!

Don't forget too that you can grab all those fabulous Say Cheese supplies by clicking on the Affiliate Thumbnails below - thanks for your support!
